Luxury Wilderness Family & Group Camping Trips | Oregon, USA
These trips are the crème de la crème of what we do: truly wild backcountry experiences paired with the best of the modern world. Show up with a good pair of hiking shoes, bring your friends & family, and let us do the rest. Each of our luxury trips is hand crafted specifically for your group.
Trips generally run from May - October. We recommend at least 2 nights to truly experience the wild.
What to Expect:
Well before your team of adventurers arrives in Eastern Oregon, we use our expert mule packer (and his expert mules) to supply a secret wilderness location with a deluxe outfitted camp. This ultra-wild camp includes a communal gathering tent, kitchen, dining area & campfire ring, chairs, private privy, tents with cots, and a host of activities, ranging from water sports on packed in inflatable kayaks to axe throwing.
The night before your trip, meet your local guides in the small cowboy town of Baker City or La Grande for a complimentary beer. Get to know your guides, explore the map, and learn about your adventure to come.
On the day of departure, your guides will meet you at your Baker City or La Grande accommodation for complimentary pick up in Sully, our adventure van. After a 1 hour drive to the trailhead, the very same expert mule packer packs in your personal gear, 30lbs / person. Step into the wilderness and leave the hustle behind.
At camp, your professional local guides turn into expert fun facilitators and chefs, serving hand crafted appetizers, cocktails, and gourmet campfire cooked meals, all sourced from hyper local ingredients. See below for a sample menu.
During the day, explore nearby lakes on guided hikes, try your hand at fly fishing, forage for wild edible plants, or relax at camp. It's up to you. Your guides will have planned activities every day.
A note from Dan, the owner:
Hey adventurer. Our goal at Go Wild is to make the wilderness accessible, fun, and to inspire every single person that comes on one of our trips. We take the utmost care to make sure you and yours are comfortable, safe, and well fed. We allow time on our trips for relaxing under the pines, gazing at the stars, and jumping into alpine lakes. That's the stuff of memories. That's the stuff of the soul. We'll guide you from the very first email so that the entire process is as easy as can be and you can get to ditching the phone and connecting with the nature that surrounds you, your friends and family, and yourself.
All camp locations are located in the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. All tours depart from Baker City or La Grande, OR. Expect impressive scenery, vast stretches of wilderness, crystal clear alpine lakes, and endless beauty.
