Beginner's Fly Fishing Lessons & Tours

Our guides are experts at helping you have fun on the water and catch fish, whether you've never touched a rod before or you were born with one in your hand. Our beginner lessons are great introductions to the art of fly fishing that teach you fundamentals from a specialized fishing float tube- an experience in and of itself! Our goal is that you go home with enough knowledge to keep fishing on your own!
Beginner Fly Fishing Lessons in Beautiful Oregon
These tours are designed to demystify the art of fly fishing and provide you with the knowledge and know-how to keep fishing on your own. Let your guide pick the best destination for the season. After complimentary transportation to the lake, start with a short lesson on land learning the basic knots and casting techniques, before hitting the open water in a float tube- a cool experience in and of itself! Your guide will circulate to answer any questions and provide helpful hints to those who want them. Your goal is the classic fly-fishing prize- beautiful rainbow and brook trout. Finish the day with a lite gourmet lunch and fish fry.

Time: 9AM - 3PM Daily (exceptions made)
Departs: From downtown Baker City or La Grande
Cost: 1-2 $199 / person
+ $150 per additional (max 6)
Includes: Expert local fishing guide, gourmet picnic lunch & fish fry, RT transportation, all fishing gear, safety gear, area fees
Bring: Day angling license (link below), layered warm under garments (for use under waders), wool socks, sun protection, water bottles, adult beverages, guide gratuity (not required, but appreciated)

Cancellations: Cancellations received outside 7 days prior to the tour date will be charged a $25 per person processing fee. Cancellations inside 7 days, but outside of 48 hours will be charged 50% of total tour cost. Any cancellations received within 48 hours of tour date or no-shows are not eligible for a refund.

Weather: All tours operate rain or shine. Weather's no reason not to have fun! In case of extreme conditions, tours are refunded on a case by case basis.
