Join the Go Wild team for a dirt dodgin', rope slingin', campfire singin' 5 day introduction to Oregon's wild west. We are you Eastern Oregon Experts.

Ride horses on a working ranch, dine in a town with a population of five, soak in healing natural thermal pools and experience one of the most beautiful & remote corners of Oregon. Your guides are experts on local hot springs, cuisine, history, culture, and most importantly: they are insatiable seekers of adventure. 


This particular road trip features stays at rustic hot springs resorts, cattle ranches, and historic hotels. For the more adventuresome, contact us for camping options.

The Fine Print:

  • $500 deposit due at time of booking. Due to the nature of our business with limited dates, trip sizes and commitments of guides, this is non-refundable. The deposit may, however, be transferred to a future Go Wild trip if the cancellation is made 90 day prior to tour departure. 

  • Final payment due 90 days prior to departure by check, cash, or Venmo. Cancellations within 90 days will be charged the entire balance unless you or we can fill the spot at full price. 

  • Weather: All tours operate rain or shine. Weather's no reason not to have fun! In case of extreme or dangerous conditions, tours are refunded in full.

  • Go Wild has the right to cancel any trip that does not meet our 8 guest minimum; confirmations will be made 90 days prior to the start of the tour.

Itinerary

Day 1

In morning, depart from one of the most classic cowboy towns in America: Pendleton, home of the famous Pendleton Round-Up. Follow an old stagecoach route through the heart of wild Oregon. Lunch is at your leisure but we recommend the small town brewery. Enter the high desert and arrive at your hot springs cabin for the night.

Day 2

Journey into the heart of cowboy country, taking a step back in time to visit once booming towns, now with less than 20 residents. Drink exceptional beer (if that's your thing!) and spend part of the day at one of the west's best wildlife and bird viewings refuges. Stay the night in rustic luxury at a working cattle ranch. Get some zzz's because it's up early tomorrow and on a horse.

Day 3

Our favorite day! Take the classic loop to the top of the scenic Steens Mountains. Stop to fly fish, go on a hike, and enjoy nature. The Steens are some of the most spectacular and forgotten mountains in Oregon. From the Steens, end the day at a classic historic hotel for a famous dinner and stars presentation.

Day 4

Day 4 takes you around the Steens to the Alvord Desert, an ancient lake bed turned playa. Your guide has special activities planned for you here, as well as a gourmet cook-out and optional visit to a hot springs under the stars. , but there's still a lot to see!

Day 5

On the way back to Pendleton stop at more ghost towns, extraordinary natural landmarks, award-winning breweries, and end the adventure with a steak dinner at Hamleys- the quintessential western upscale steak house.
