Wild Cooking w/ Chef Sara Hauman
July 6-8 | Elkhorn Mountains
You may have seen Chef Sara on Season 18 of Bravo TV's "Top Chef," read about her in the San Francisco Chronicle, or maybe you even were lucky enough to eat at one of the many world famous restaurants she's led.
But this.
-
This is a chance to kick back with Sara around the campfire (cocktails in hand, of course).
-
This is a chance to enjoy her as your personal chef for 3 days of wilderness luxury. And most of all~
-
This is an opportunity to share with fellow explorers the adventure, and the feast, of a lifetime.
About The Trip:
When we approached Sara about joining the Go Wild team on a 3 day backcountry adventure focused on outdoor cooking, her answer was "hell yes!" We added a mule packer (so you don't have to carry anything), a secret camp (so you don't have to see anyone), and we had a completely gourmet trip. Hike a gentle 7 miles into the wilderness alongside Chef Sara and professional local guides. Enjoy small group time with the chef, cooking lessons, 3 expertly crafted meals a day from hyper local ingredients, and time to relax unfettered by modern distractions. On Day 2 hang out at the lake or take an optional hike to amazing views of the oldest mountains in Oregon and an alpine lake. This is the perfect trip foodies, those looking for an outdoor luxury getaway, or anyone who needs a break from the rat race.
Total Mileage: 14 + Optional 6
Total Elevation Gain: 2000'
About Chef Sara:
What we (and everyone else) love about Sara is her simple approach to food, love for outdoor cooking in the great wide open, and approachable charm. Currently residing in Portland, Sara's obsession with making delicious food has taken her to famous kitchens around the world. The awards and reviews just keep coming. She appeared on Season 18 of Bravo TV's "Top Chef," and can frequently be found around the NW, whether knee deep in the mud harvesting shellfish or working on her tin fish business @thetinyfishco.
