Hike to PineFest
September 7-10 2017

Not for the faint of foot. Our last tour of the season starts with a epic loop hike in the southwestern Wallowa mountains (don't worry, we stop often for scenery) and ends with one of the state's best music festivals in Halfway, Oregon. PineFest brings together both local and distant musicians for an eclectic group of tunes that will make you shake, sing, and want more. You'll experience the area's best glacial lakes, try your hand at a number of cowboy lawn games, and dance the night away.

For those who really want to go wild. On September 7th we start a 3 day hike into a less traveled area of the Eagle Cap Wilderness. This won't be your average walk in the woods as we'll cover nearly 20 miles in 3 days. The views will be breathtaking and each night we'll camp at a new alpine lake and rejuvenate al natural for the next day. Sleep under stars, swim in turquoise water, and let us do the cooking and heavy lifting (though expect to carry your own pack!)

On the morning of Saturday, September 9th, we'll emerge from the wilderness and have nearly the entire day for some serious R&R at Cornocopia Lodge. Once we've soaked tired feet, put your dancing shoes on. PineFest has been called Oregon's best music festival. With acts from all over the U.S., set against a backdrop of the very mountains you've just emerged from, the music fest exceeds in both entertainment and wow factor. They'll be opportunities for farm and ranch visits, traditional games, fine booze and drink, and like always, it's all on us.
