thru-hike the eagle cap wilderness
Blisters, Blues, & Brews Tour
August 8-13 2017
When Go Wild first went to the Bronze, Blues, & Brews music festival in Joseph, Oregon we were flabbergasted. "This quality of beer and music in our own back yard?!" We danced the night away, went for a sunrise hike, and did it again on day 2. Now, we want to reenact that experience for you. Leave cooking, driving, and finding the trail to us. Enjoy the views, enjoy the blues.
There will be more than a few views
Just getting warmed up
Tent or not to tent?
The 20 mile journey to brews and blues begins the morning of August 8th. Thru-hiking the Wallowas you'll experience the untouched beauty of Eastern Oregon: high alpine lakes, towering granite peaks, vast green meadows and an incredible diversity of animal and plant wildlife. We spend 4 days and 3 nights in the backcountry so be prepared to get dirty, drink cowboy coffee, and make friends. All camping gear is provided but bring your own boots. Follow along or lead the way, but our guides know the best spots for swimming, fishing, stargazing, and gettin’ wild!
Friday morning we emerge on the northern end of the wilderness. There awaits luxurious lodgings, endless activities, and the grand finale of this tour- the Bronze, Blues, & Brews music festival. This beer and blues festival attracts acts from all over the U.S. who come to play against the backdrop the Eagle Caps. The beer will make you giddy. The music will make you boogie. We also suggest volunteering at the festival for an even more immersive experience- do that and we'll knock $35 dollars off your tour price. If you'd rather just sit back and enjoy the tunes, by all means. We provide everything: meals, transportation, lodging, gear, and guides who know how to have a good time. Following breakfast Sunday morning, we head back to Baker City, arriving ~ 12:00 pm.
